What more universal subject than love? Enigmatic, fragile, the all-powerful driving force behind so many stories, it seems particularly difficult to pin down. "On Love" questions this mysterious feeling by drawing on scientific and artistic works. Love, as addressed in this new temporary exhibition, is like the Pont du Gard: universal. It transcends borders, invites to fraternity, to openness to others, to differences, to cultures from elsewhere.
The theme of love, which has long been explored from an artistic point of view, is also worth examining from a scientific point of view, as its codes have been overturned by the new customs of our society. The exhibition provides new insights into the bonds and attachments of friendship, family and love. The atmosphere created in this exhibition is sometimes bright and sometimes more intimate, but always warm and colourful, like the giant feathered heart presented at the entrance, which vibrates and pulsates.
This exhibition offers visitors an exploration of the territories of love, in constant movement and crossed by new technologies. The exhibition "De l'amour" is an experience, with participatory games, multimedia and spectacular installations.
Some of the elements presented in the exhibition have been specially designed for the Pont du Gard site, which will be decked out in the colours of love for the duration of the exhibition.
