Come and celebrate spring with "Garrigue en fête” on April 3rd, 4th and 5th 2010

We are pleased to welcome you to the Pont du Gard site for the Easter weekend every year with its shows, tastings and garrigue workshops, from the great gourmet market to its famous farmer's picnic.

You'll be amazed at some of the strange characters who have put down their roots in one remarkable little village along the "Mémoires de garrigue" discovery trail.

Come and discover their unusual customs and prepare yourself for some amazing encounters and lots of surprises!

Led by associations and free. Registration on site.



» ‘The mysteries of the garrigue'

Animated by the ‘Etat des lieux', ‘Les Ecologistes de l'Euzières', « Liens »,
«  Gard Nature », « Entente pour la forêt méditerranéenne » and « Tripalium » associations :

 Visit the garrigue curiosity museum,

 the watercolour and drawing workshop focused on the local landscape,

 the ‘Uses and resources of the garrigue' workshop,

 Potery workshop,

 Workshop « fire and nature ».

 The taste trials

A series of connoisseur tasting sessions exploring the gastronomic riches of the Gard, co-ordinated by the Terre en Fête Languedoc Roussillon association and the Gard brotherhood of restaurateurs.

Tasting sessions based on the marriage of food and wine and themed 'Mémoires de garrigue' tasting events.

Seasonal and local produce, wine, fruit juice ...
In partnership with the Gard Agricultural Chamber.


 Farmhouse picnic

When it's time to eat, it's time for a picnic! Simply spread your blanket in the spot of your choice beneath the shade of the evergreen oaks, at the foot of the olive trees...

don't forget to reserve your basket of seasonal goodies.

Baskets prepared by the Bienvenue à la Ferme association.
