GUIDED TOUR OF PONT DU GARD
Indoor tour – Duration : 1h30
Pupils will be guided by one of our experienced coordinators through the third level of Pont du Gard’s archways where they will learn the importance of this monument as part of a 2000 year old system of aqueducts that used gravity to carry water all the way from the city of Uzès down to Nîmes.
GUIDED TOUR OF PONT DU GARD AND OF THE MUSEUM OF ANCIENT ROME
Indoor and outdoor tour – Duration : 1h30 up to 2h00
Guided by a tour coordinator, pupils will start with a visit to the Pont and the water channel. Afterwards they will be introduced to the museum of Ancient Rome and its thematics. The purpose of this tour is to allow the children to see the Pont as a work of art. Starting from its construction during 1st century AD the tour will take you through the architectural and engineering skills of the Romans up to the discovery of an urban civilization where the many different uses of water are a testimony to the refinement of this great civilisation.
